Full course description
Feasting on God's Word: The Four Gospels. Read, pray, study and discuss Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. A 10-week online course for personal spiritual enrichment and life-long learning.
Feasting on God’s Word is a series of online and in-person classes for Catholics hungry for a deeper knowledge of Scripture. Courses cover the entire Bible in three years. These courses are for spiritual enrichment. There are no grades, and the only homework is reading the Bible.
This course guides students through the four canonical gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Students will read the entire text of the four gospels (but divided into manageable weekly assignments). Weekly prayer assignments will provide opportunities for meditation on key passages. Short lectures each week will provide background and insight into distinctive themes of each gospel. Weekly discussion will allow students to ask questions, share insights, and to learn from one another.
The course begins on September 13th and continues for ten weeks, concluding on November 21. Each class week begins on Monday and ends the following Sunday. Students can log on any time during that week to watch the pre-recorded videos and to participate in the online discussion.
